Food at Bulleigh Barton Manor.

Food is very important to us here at Bulleigh Barton Manor, which is why we are delighted to have been accepted into membership of Food and Drink Devon, an organisation dedicated to identifying the very best food producers in the county.

Breakfast is normally served between 8.30am and 10am, if you would like to eat earlier, please just let us know.

The table is usually laid in our beamed Tudor dining hall, on warm days in the summer, please let us know if you would rather eat outside.

free range eggs

We are proud of our full English breakfasts, which are sourced as locally as possible. When they are laying, eggs come from our own small flock of traditional breed chickens, which you are welcome to visit in the garden. Our neighbouring farm shop at Bulleigh Elms makes wonderful jams and marmalades, as well as award winning fudge, and we are delighted to serve these to our guests.

Our local fishmonger smokes their own fish and so we are also able to offer locally produced smoked salmon and scrambled egg, or smoked haddock with poached eggs, to guests who prefer a lighter option.

Another joy of living in this area is the number of really good eating places nearby. Bickley Mill, a pub known for the quality of its food is just a short walk away

The information folders in our rooms give details of several local eating places. These include:

Bickley Mill Inn

Court Farm Inn, Abbotskerswell

Church House Inn, Marldon

The Sea Trout Inn, Staverton

We are happy to make a reservation for you if required.
